U.S. total goods trade (exports plus imports) with China was an estimated $582.0 billion in 2024. U.S. goods exports to China in 2024 were $143.2 billion, down 3.0 percent ($4.4 billion) from 2023. U.S. goods imports from China in 2024 totaled $438.7 billion, up 2.7 percent ($11.5 billion) from 2023. The U.S. goods trade deficit with China was $295.5 billion in 2024, a 5.7 percent increase ($15.9 billion) over 2023.
U.S. total services trade (exports plus imports) with China totaled an estimated $76.9 billion in 2024. U.S. services exports to China in 2024 were $55.0 billion, up 15.3 percent ($7.3 billion) from 2023. U.S. services imports from China in 2024 were $21.9 billion, up 13.3 percent ($2.6 billion) from 2023. The U.S. services trade surplus with China was $33.2 billion in 2024, a 16.7 percent increase ($4.8 billion) over 2023.
